Python Job: Data Engineer Intern

We are looking for a student of Data Engineering or a similar degree who is interested in gaining practical experience within a multidisciplinary research team that is developing cutting-edge AI technologies for Enterprise Spare Parts Search solution used by maintenance technicians and customer service agents to identify spare parts within seconds instead of hours.

You will join an international team of 12 CV/ML researchers & engineers and contribute to data acquisition, transformation, curation and processing, needed to make the data ready for our research activities.

Your Tasks

• Transform data into the Partium R&D data format.
• Enable data curation by preparing data annotation tasks.
• Support dataset expansions and maintenance.
• Generate descriptive dataset statistics, including data quality metrics.
• Contribute to the automation of the tasks above.
  

Required Skills

• Good programming skills (knowledge of Python is a plus).
• Good communication skills in English (knowledge of German is a plus).
  

Your Profile

• Enrolled at university, preferably in Data Engineering and pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• Interested in learning how to automate handling of large volumes of heterogeneous data.
• Interested in application of agile methodologies to define, plan, and implement advanced systems.
• Interested in working within an experienced multidisciplinary research team.
